Tern Castro Duo: Cruising the Sea Point Promenade

Tern Castro Duo
It's almost certain that the City of Cape Town will announce today that bicycles, skateboards and roller blades will be allowed to recreationally use the Sea Point Promenade.
It's a great idea. Not just because the Promenade is a beautiful stretch of concrete to ride on, but because it encourages first-time / rusty bike riders to give it a go on a safe bit of paving flanked by sea and grass.

Changes gears automatically
The perfect bike for the promenade in our humble opinion, the Tern Castro Duo. It has a coaster / back pedal brake, nice and comfortable Schwalbe Big Apple tyres and a very handy SRAM Automatix two speed hub that changes between the two gear automatically - so you don't have to worry about doing that yourself and can just concentrate on enjoying the beautiful scenery.

After a day in the sun, the Castro Duo folds up easily so that you can drive it back home without needing complicated bike racks and awkward stuff like that.
If you'd like to test ride one or have questions, just shout.
