Ordinary citizens, not a government, made Amsterdam a bicycle city
It's important to remember that it was ordinary citizen fed up with the number of children that were being killed by cars that caused Amsterdam to adopt cycling as the preferred transport alternative in their city.
If you want a safer, liveable, citizen-friendly city to live in, the choice is yours. Government can build new cycle lanes until they are blue in the face, but the real change will happen when citizen actively decide to get off their butts and make the change they want to see themselves.
You need to be actively involved in pioneering change. Stop talking and get out there.
